Vision Statement:
Griz Catholic seeks to empower students to explore their faith and grow in it together. Additionally, Griz Catholic will provide a loving, supportive, and engaging faith community and spiritual home for UM students. Griz Catholic works in close collaboration with the Christ the King Parish to model the Gospel Values for these students and to draw them into active participation in a parish faith community. In collaboration with their respective home parishes, Griz Catholic also invites the Catholic UM faculty and staff to engage with students at liturgies, activities, and events.

Matt Wylie
campus minister
Hi all! My name is Matt Wylie, and I serve Christ the King as the Campus Minister. I have a diverse background in working with teenagers and college students in many settings, some secular and some within the Church. I converted to Catholicism as a student at Hillsdale College, so I know firsthand the importance and impact of showing college students a life lived in Christ. My wife (Katy) and I are new to Missoula as of 2023. We moved here from Kansas City to manage the diocesan summer camp, Legendary Lodge, during the summers and work in the Church in Missoula for the rest of the year. We have been blessed with meaningful work, good friends, and abundant mayfly hatches.

The Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) is a Catholic collegiate outreach whose mission is to share the hope and joy of the gospel with college and university students, inspiring and equipping them for a lifetime of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship and friendships in which they lead others to do the same. Colton Haight
Hi, my name is Colton Haight! I was born and raised in Colorado, and grew up doing all things outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking, and camping. I am a convert to the Catholic Church, and I love the mission of evangelization on campus! I spent my first 2 years as a missionary at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and this will be my first year at the University of Montana. Katie Hiller
Hello! My name is Katie and I am a second year missionary at the Univeristy of Montana. I was raised in Pocatello ID where, surrounded by an amazing family and wonderful friends, Jesus became the central part of my life. I attended Corban University in Salem OR for my undergrad. After graduation, I worked in Denver CO at an incredible Montessori School and, man, did I learn more from those kiddos than I ever taught them! After a year, I felt the Lord invite me into full-time missionary work and I joined FOCUS. In God’s incredible providence, I was placed in Missoula and now have the great gift of serving the students at UM. In my free time you can find me climbing mountains, playing Spikeball, and jamming to some Bongo Flava.

Anna Craig
Hi I’m Anna and I’m from Wichita, Kansas! I have served as a missionary at the University of Virginia the past two years! I’m blessed to now be in the beautiful state of Montana. I love to bake, explore, and find a fun new coffee shop, and I am looking forward to learning how to ski (if you're a patient teacher let me know) I'm excited to get to know you soon!
